Last week we officially kicked off the project to start the game trailer and demo!
We had already begun the production of game concept art as of July last year, creating historically accurate character art made by the talented Peter Johnston and Giorgia Vincenzi. We have shared this work with you on the art blog and in the forum. As of January we expanded the production with game scene art made by additional artists (work not yet published) and expanded the core team with the amazing artist Céline Nauleau for this purpose!
But concept art all serves a purpose of creating the visuals and look and feel of the game design, as well as being preparatory work for the 3D art. Our next port of call is a game trailer that gives a 3D impression of the game, a game demo as it were.
This game demo will be non-playable, it serves to showcase the actual visual design of the 3D game as it is intended. Parallel we are working on a proto-type that will be playable, but that is a far larger project.
To create the Trailer and Demo we acquired yet another new team member, Patrick van Meerwijk. It is a considerable job, but Patrick has considerable hours available because he can combine the project with his University graduation project.
Patrick has the experience, skill and time to create and lead this project, and will do so in collaboration with the other team members. He will also involve the community for testing the content. We expect the project to take several months.
As we progress we will keep you informed here on the forum and share content on other media channels whenever it looks interesting!
