Governments of all 150+ nations set their own standards of justice and behaviour, and if gamers don’t like it they can always re-locate to a different nation where things are better. When the Justice System of a nation derails into corruption and depravity the Monarch can always step in and force a change.
Competent government, friendships, alliances, bribes, blackmail and corruption, they might all be tools to gain power, keep power or influence those that hold power. That is the nature of politics, it’s a dark game that can played best by those of cunning.
